Down on the (Family) Farm

Holy cow, I can’t WAIT for y’all to see this South Carolina engagement session!!!!! (Okay, okay, I promise that’ll be the only cow pun from here on out, although that’s going to take a lot of self restraint. Alexis and Chris are the kindest couple, and I’m so excited to be a part of their 2020 wedding! We had such a blast last night on Chris’ family farm, and the setting made for the most beauuuutiful engagement session!

About the Couple

Alexis and I were Phi Mu sorority sisters at Ole Miss, and it’s been so fun to reconnect as we just live over the state line from each other! Chris is just the greatest match for her – it’s the best to meet someone’s person and how perfectly they fit! They couldn’t have been more welcoming to me, and I loved getting the full tour of the farm!

Chris was sweet enough to tell me to watch where I step as we were in a cow pasture and the grass I kept telling them to pose in had some thorns in it. So naturally, I ignored all warnings and rolled around on the ground to get the perfect shots (in a maxi dress, because that made sense for me to wear of course). I’d say it was worth it, even if Casey did literally ask me when I was going to shower when I got home, ha!

We shot until sunset, and I got to meet the cows, horses, and Border Collies, too!! Basically, when the cows posed for me I felt I reached a new level in my photographic career!

These two are the best and I seriously had so much FUN with them during this session! I can’t wait for their beautiful May South Carolina wedding at Brakefield at Riverwalk next year. It is a literal castle in South Carolina, and I can’t even imagine how beautiful it will be!
