Amanda + Harrison’s Blacksburg, Virginia Elopement

It seems like every single wedding or elopement I do I think to myself “okay, this was my FAVORITE day and I’m never going to top it”, and Amanda and Harrison’s Blacksburg, Virginia elopement was no exception! This amazing couple has been long distance and finally get to live together in beautiful Blacksburg. Although their original plans for their Maine wedding got postponed, I’m so thankful that they allowed me to capture their beautiful Blacksburg, Virginia elopement on their original wedding date!

One of my favorite things about this day was the GORGEOUS details that they put so much thought into. The bride got her dress on Amazon (SCORE!) and Harrison wore an amazing custom suit. The elopement happened at their home church, Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church in Blacksburg! The couple shared a first touch before walking down the aisle and becoming husband and wife.

So… let me tell you about these church grounds!! They. Were. Insane. I knew the second I was taking those photos of her beautiful dress blowing in the wind with the gorgeous Virginia mountains behind it that I was in for a treat. What I didn’t know at the time is that there is an incredible 400 year tree on the property, which made for some of my favorite photos of all time!

After some time under the trees, we headed to the Virginia Tech Duck Pond for the rest of their first photos as Mr. and Mrs.

The couple ended their wedding day with a giant pizza and cake, and then went away to their SURPRISE honeymoon! I am so glad and honored I got to be a part of this day. Cheers, Mr. and Mrs. Miller!

Mother of the Groom, here…these are gorgeous!! Thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart! We so wanted to be there, and of course watched the live stream, but this really helps fill the picture out. I am so grateful you were there to love on them in the absence of their families. We love Jesus, too, and are confident that the day was just as the Lord planned. Blessings to you!!
